“We had to build the Bronco Raptor — it’s our ultimate vehicle for hardcore off-road enthusiasts who demand something more,” said Carl Widmann, Ford Performance chief engineer. “Like the Ultra4 desert race trucks, the ‘Raptor of SUVs’ conquers desert dunes at highway speeds and is equipped with competition-level off-road technology and hardware.”
Off-road tech and hardware enable the 2022 Bronco Raptor to conquer unchartered territories and allow you to turn up the volume on your adventures. It comes equipped with specialized equipment and features that make going out on desert escapes effortless. Features include heavy-duty bash and skid plates, a high-strength steel frame with new shock towers, upgraded front and rear axles, and a minimum ground clearance of 13.1 inches.
It also boasts an enhanced suspension, three modes in its 4x4 system, and a beefed-up transfer case.
Under the hood is a twin-turbo 3.0-liter EcoBoost® engine that’s rated at 400 horsepower. The Bronco Raptor also utilizes the brand’s legendary G.O.A.T. Modes™ (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) Terrain Management System™ so you can customize the SUV’s performance for optimal control and fun.
