Today’s Ford lineup is a showcase for some of the hottest technologies in everything from safety to connectivity. With the help of new SYNC® 4 and SYNC® 4A, several Ford vehicles offer the power of Amazon Alexa Built-in. With this feature, your driving experience is even simpler and smarter.
Currently available on the 2022 Ford Bronco, Expedition, F-150, Mustang Mach-E, and Transit, Alexa Built-in gives you convenient access to the Amazon smart assistant. With the power of your voice, you can access Alexa skills, listen to tunes from your Amazon Music playlists, and add items to your cart on Amazon Prime. What’s more, Amazon Alexa Built-in can connect to select smart home devices, preparing for your arrival.
And Ford and Amazon just keep working to make Alexa Built-in better. In April, Ford announced enhanced Car Control capabilities that allow Alexa to perform actions based on natural conversation. If, for example, you tell Alexa that you’re feeling hot on your next West Virginia summer road trip, she’ll ask if you want her to adjust the AC.
“We are always working to improve the in-cabin experience, and core to that is making it easier for customers to naturally interact with Alexa,” said John Scumniotales, general manager and director for Amazon Smart Vehicles. “The enhanced Car Control features offer customers a new level of personalization — and demonstrating this functionality with Ford is an important step toward our vision of conversations with Alexa feeling as familiar as speaking with a family member or friend sitting in the passenger seat.”
If you want to use Alexa on the road, you also have other options. Newer Ford vehicles with SYNC® 3 AppLink® feature Ford+Alexa, which also allows you to access Alexa skills and ask her to help you navigate to your destination.
