All-Electric 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning

Ford is ready to take the leap into the future with the all-electric 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning truck. Slated for release next year and assembled in Dearborn, Michigan, the latest truck from Ford is ready to carry the legacy of the F-150 badge with capability, convenience, and advanced features.

In the past, you might have made fun of electric vehicles for their lack of power. The 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning is ready to blow those old prejudices out of the water. This truck is set to achieve 563 horsepower and 775 lb.-ft. of torque. That torque number is a new high for any Ford F-150 model, giving the F-150 a towing capacity of up to 10,000 pounds. Besides offering great towing capacity, the lack of an engine up front means that the F-150 Lightning gains a lockable front trunk, or frunk, for all your tools.

The F-150 Lightning can easily charge at home like other EVs, but it can also give back to your house when the power goes out. This feature, called Intelligent Backup Power, lets the truck offload 9.6 kilowatts of power to keep essential appliances or security networks operating. When situations are less dire and you’re out on the road, the Ford F-150 Lightning’s Pro Power Onboard system can power your tools at a work site here in Beckley, West Virginia, or speakers and camp gear while you’re enjoying a weekend away.

Finally, the Ford F-150 Lightning’s upper Lariat and Platinum trim levels will be the first trucks equipped with the SYNC® 4A infotainment system. It was created to adapt to its driver behavior, and includes access to tools like Android™ Auto and Apple CarPlay®.

The 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning isn’t available yet here in West Virginia, but we’re excited about it at Ramey Ford. Contact us if you have questions, or to learn more about other trucks in the Ford lineup.
