Pre-Collision Assist With Automatic Emergency Braking
If the system's sensors detect a potential collision with a car or pedestrian in front of you, a warning flashes and an audible alert sounds.* Also, the brakes will precharge and increase brake-assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when you do brake. If you do not take corrective action and a collision is imminent, the brakes can automatically apply.
Ford Co-Pilot360™ Technology
The available Lane-Keeping System,* included with available Adaptive Cruise Control,* employs a camera mounted behind the windshield that scans the road lane markings to determine vehicle position and to detect an unintentional lane departure. Operational during day or night, the Lane-Keeping System warns you through a series of steering wheel vibrations, which mimic a rumble strip, should the system detect an unintentional lane departure.*
Auto High-Beam Headlamps
Available Auto High-Beam Headlamps can sense poor lighting conditions and switch on to light your path ahead. They can even sense oncoming headlights and dim automatically, so you don't have to worry about blinding other drivers. They can help you keep your focus on the road - and both hands on the wheel.
Available BLIS® With Cross-Traffic Alert
BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert uses radar to identify if a vehicle is detected in your blind spot and alerts you with an indicator light in the appropriate exterior mirror. Cross-Traffic Alert also uses radar to watch for traffic behind you as you're slowly backing out of a parking spot or driveway. If cross-traffic sensors detect a vehicle, you will be audibly and visually alerted.*
Rear View Camera
The Rear View Camera* provides a video image on the center-stack screen of the area behind your vehicle. The camera is activated when you shift into Reverse and back up slowly. The screen has guides to help you align your vehicle with a trailer or assist you with backing up in tight places.
Adaptive Cruise Control
Available Adaptive Cruise Control slows down your vehicle if the traffic ahead has slowed. As soon as things clear, you'll resume your preset speed.*

While you're driving slowly near parking spots, activate this available feature and your Transit Connect will scan for an available one. Ultrasonic sensors measure your distance from parked vehicles and, once an appropriate spot is identified, you're signaled to stop and accept the system's assistance. With a few actions on your part - shifting, accelerating and braking - the vehicle can smoothly parallel park or back into a perpendicular parking space.*

Available Forward And Reverse Sensing Systems
If your vehicle is in Drive and moving slowly, forward sensors will sound a high-pitched beeping tone if something is there in front of you. The beeps will become more rapid as you approach an object, and within 12 inches they become a solid tone. The sensors turn off when you put your vehicle in Park or Neutral. The Reverse Sensing System works the same way using sensors in the rear bumper.*

Side-Wind Stabilization
Standard side-wind stabilization technology* is designed to help reduce driver stress while operating a vehicle in high winds. The side-curtain airbags deploy downward and outward toward the side-window opening to protect the heads of front passengers. Roll-fold technology helps the airbag slide between the glass and the occupant as the airbag inflates. The airbags will not interfere with properly installed child-safety seats or booster seats and are designed to stay inflated longer for added protection in a rollover.*

Tire Pressure Monitoring System
Standard on all Transit Connect Passenger Wagon models, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) monitors air pressure amount for each tire and will illuminate a warning light on the cluster screen if the pressure in any one of your tires goes below the recommended tire inflation level*.
MYKEY®
With personalized settings for two keys, this available smart technology lets you limit top speed as well as select speed alert chimes. You can also limit the radio volume to 45% and set the Belt-Minder® to chime, while muting the audio system, until the safety belt is buckled.
